We are a group of like minded individuals here to share our hobbies and passions with the rest of the community. Hoping to strengthen and bring about a more active anime scene in the Midwest area.
Founder:
Hugo – Fantasy was always something that really sparked my imagination and what better way to make that fantasy come alive than through video games. Anime was introduced to me at a young age, not knowing what DBZ was at the time. Hobbies of mine include RPGs, FPS, Driving, RTS,video games, CCGs, Euro-Board games. What I look for in a good anime; good writing, music filled with emotion, obscure topics, unexpected twists, art style in my opinion is secondary.
Content Creators:
Chris – Tumblr Moderator – I started watching anime when I was a child. I remember watching Sailor Moon with my older sister and two of our friends in a small TV and thinking it was the coolest “cartoon” we have ever seen (We were children… We didn’t know it was called anime). Around the same time I had a fascination with video games. I would love to sit and watch my older brother play video games on the Sega Genesis and wishing that I could be half as good as he was. Now, some of my all time favorite video games to date would be Left 4 Dead 1-2, Portal 1-2, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Mario Kart, DDR/Stepmania, and Streets of Rage 2. I am fairly open-minded about anime but my preference/expertise is yaoi.
Anthony – Con. Advisor – I’ve always been a nerd. I remember the very first game I played ever at the age of four (Phantasy Star II on Sega Genesis). I remember growing up watching Sailor Moon every morning at 6:30 AM and then graduating onto Saturday Anime on the Sci-Fi Channel. After that, it was the legendary Toonami block that gave us such great gems like DBZ, Outlaw Star, and Gundam Wing, just to name a few.
You’d think that being into anime, Video Games (especially music games, JRPGs, and fighting games), and general nerdy stuff would draw me to cosplaying, but sadly I never got to realize this until 2010 when I cosplayed at ACEN. Since then I’ve been cosplaying characters like Crono (Chrono Trigger), Hiro (Lunar 2), Locke Cole (Final Fantasy VI) and Zelgadis (The Slayers) just to name a few. I enjoy going to cons and getting to know people as well as helping out in any way that I can. I guess that’s what brought me here, a desire to give back to the community. Hopefully the things that I bring to this website will be a benefit to the rest of the writers as well as to you the readers. Can’t wait to see where this ride takes me.

“… and unexpected twists art style in my opinion is secondary.” This sentence is sublime.
